Why Museum of Natural Science?
The Museum of Natural Sience in Berlin, opened in 1889, has a long tradition and is closely connected to the Humboldt-Universitšt zu Berlin since it was part of the HU until 2009.
Wilhelm von Humboldt, founder of our beautiful university, and his brother Alexander von Humboldt play an important role in the history of academic and scientific development in Berlin and Germany. A lot of exhibits which were collected by Alexander von Humboldt during his long explorative journeys can be found in the Museum of Natural Sience. Moreover the Museum of Natural Science provides you with the unique opportunity of having a look on the biggest mounted dinosaur skeleton in the world while enjoying your dinner.
